Ua Mau ke Ea o ka ‘Aina i ka Pono

I am appalled at the findings as I look back 50 years when Hawaii’s statehood was orchestrated. Last week marked the 50th anniversary of the vote for statehood. The 1959 plebiscite makes the recent Iranian elections look democratic.

But knowing there has still been no apology to Queen Liliuokalani and her multi-ethnic nation, why would I be surprised?

Statehood is a fraud. Hawaii is a nation in distress. If U.S. patriots (many native Hawaiians included) think they can live with that and believe international reconciliation will never happen, then what’s the point of anything? The implications are enormous.

You can steal the words, you can steal the nation but the truth remains: Ua Mau ke Ea o ka ʻAina i ka Pono.

Dear Editor,

I am appalled at the findings as I look back 50 years when Hawaii’s statehood was orchestrated.  This week marks the 50th anniversary of the vote for statehood.  The 1959 plebiscite makes the recent Iranian elections look democratic.

But, why would I be surprised?  Knowing the reality of US Apology Resolution, Public Law 103-150: the centennial expression of regret given to “Native Hawaiians” for the 1893 Overthrow of Queen Lili`uokalani - yet incredibly, still no apology to her and her multi-ethnic nation.

Illegal “Annexation” (1898) stands on the unlawful Overthrow and so too does illegal “Statehood”.

What is most interesting, sad and unsustainable is that the same hideous conniving and scrambling reoccur by the generational criminals at each epoch.

This week, 50 years ago, The Honolulu Advertiser, published by Lorrin P Thurston (Statehood Commissioner and son of the 1893 coupe leader, Lorrin A Thurston) ran a saturated campaign of electoral interference. See killstatehood.com website.  US foreigners were allowed to vote, the ballot didn’t have the UN mandated option of state independence, and information and statehood opposition was suppressed to the degree that people were afraid of losing their jobs for voicing there view.

Statehood is a fraud.  Hawai`i is a nation in distress.  If US patriots (many native Hawaiians included) think they can live with that and believe international reconciliation ‘ll never happen than what’s the point of anything – the implications are enormous.

You can steal the words, you can steal the nation but the truth remains: Ua Mau ke Ea o ka ʻĀina i ka Pono
